Rome: Total War is a tactical warfare strategy game set during the early Roman Empire. You select a Roman family and take control of army units. Your goal is to conquer Rome and the entire world. To take over Rome, you'll need to take Senate seats or invade areas and take over by force. You will have spies and diplomats at your disposal, and you can open up trade routes to make money. You can build markets, ports and other settlements. The game is very open, and you are free to ignore requests from Rome although eventually they will come after you.
